Lost iPhone Found iPhone
One week ago tommorow I lost my iPhone, I had been at the local university watching a Lil womens vollleyball... and later that night I noticed my I phone was missing, the clip had broken and it was gone, I just knew some college kid was enjoying their new phone... It had been on vibrate so I coulkdnt call it, I looked for two days with no luck, so off to ATT and I coughed up the $$$ for another Iphone, since I got it a couple months ago I've just really enjoyed it and couldnt imagine going back to the old Nokia Brick I had.... fast forward to today, Im out mowing the lawn and I look down and see my new Iphone I had just ran over it with my mower, my heart sank...wait a minute I thought I'd left my phone inside, sure enough it was my original Iphone a week later, it had been outside in the morning dew for a week, I knew it was toast, brought it back inside charged it up and it booted right up.
My mower was set high enough that it went right over the phone not a scratch on it, sounds like an old timex commercial, "takes a licking and keeps on ticking.' Strange thing is I had the service diconnected when I bought my new phone, so I cant place calls with it, but the internet, E-mails, and all the apps are still working. What do I do, keep it, sell it, or try to put my daughters sim card in it and see what happens, I just cant believe it set out side for a week, was run over by a lawn mower and not a scratch on it..... |

Re: Lost iPhone Found iPhone
Cool beans.....I had a tough Nokia with Alltel...long story short it went thru a wash cycle and fell out of a pocket on the way to the dryer....the story does not end happy, the phone eventually died but it took over a week to do so...

Re: Lost iPhone Found iPhone
I'd reformat it and take the sim card out and sell it on E bay, or keep it as a just in case. I have seem to dropped every one of my phones into water of some sort. Theres a lot of funny stories associated with them, but the end result is always buying a new phone.
However, if you could get a 50-100 bucks, that could be an extra bit of money you weren't planning on having to buy some sticks with! |

Re: Lost iPhone Found iPhone
Depending on what model it is, you can easily sell it on craigslist or ebay.
I had an iphone 3g, and dropped it and it cracked the screen. I sold it in craigslist for 300 dollars. Enough to get me a new iphone. Just plug it into your computer and restore it to wipe it clean and take out your sim. If you want to give it to your daughter just put her sim in it and plug it into the computer and activate it with itunes. May have to call AT&T to make sure they put the right data and messaging plan on it. Even though activating it through itunes should do it. |
