This reminds me of an incident that took place in my area some years back. A woman was abducted from a parking lot by some 16-year-old POS who wanted a car for his birthday, and after driving around with her for a while he ended up suffocating her with her own coat and dumping her body in the woods. She had a husband and a couple young kids.
I can't even begin to understand what would possess people to do such things. The absolute disregard for human life we witness from time to time is frightening, to say the least. I hope Chip's loved ones and friends can find peace and comfort.
