Re: Friday Night Contest

We used to have a contest at work where there were 10 different lines from various movies.

The first person to name the movie for all 10 quotes won.. That could be fun..

I have an idea..since we are men (and some special woman) of honor and integrity because we smoke cigars..(most of us anyways). Do not allow any search engines in the contest and go with the honor system because cigar smokers are genuinely good, honest people..right?

I like the honor system. It seems to work pretty well around here. Now, joed, how about some old time punk rock?

Re: Friday Night Contest

Corona, your PM is full. Thank you.

I also think the honor system will work, this might be one of the last places on earth I would actually believe nobody cheated.

Re: Friday Night Contest

OK, Let's try one for tonight.

This particular song has been playing in my head all week long - it's not a new song.

The song is sort of a sad story I guess. A guy starts out telling us about his earliest memory and some "advice" from his dad - which is really one of those sayings that parents say when they don't want to answer a question. We here how this bit of "advice" comes back to him through his whole life. When his daddy leaves his momma, when his son is born and when he leaves his wife.

So, I would think that it's safe to say that this guy finally figures out that what his daddy told him just isn't true.

So, the contest.

Which group does this song
Who is the singer talking to.
What is his message - how does he answer his dad

hint - the refrain has the answer.

OK - this one already lasted longer than the first one, so, here's a bit more. His earliest memory is the first thing that he remembers
