No cigars or pipe tobacco for 3 weeks for me

I'm getting my wisdom teeth out on July 4th and am REALLY not looking foreward too it. I keep hearing all these horror stories about pain and dry sockets. I know the oral surgeon is giving me some serious pain killers (i remember hearing tylenol 3, valium, and maybe even morphine?) and usually I try not to take pain killers but it seems like this time I'm going to have too.

And the worst part of all, no cigars or pipes for 3 weeks! I haven't gone that long since I started smoking about a year ago.

Bummer, I know how ya feel though. I've got a chest cold about 2 weeks ago that turned into an ear infection. The weird thing is that now everything has a copper taste to it. No sense in smoking cigars or drinking scotch until it's run it course. It's been almost two weeks since I've had a cigar now.

If you're on meds for the infection whodat thats prob. why.Zack they dont want you sucking on anything,it will cause the sockets to bleed. I hope it heals fast for you...Dave
