new fishing rod

hi, been looking to get a new fishing rod and caught this infomarcial about the zebco RHINO Indestructible rods . price is right for about 39.95 thats with shipping and you get a free reel with it ,baitcast or spinning your choose.it pretty much claims to be unbreakable and after seeing what they put it thru you would believe it. anyone has it or knows about it? sounds like a good deal.

Never had a Zebco rod before, but their reels are great. That doesn't sound like a bad deal at all.

been awhile since I've looked at anything but fly rods, but generally (and up to a certain point, I might add) you get what you pay for.

Sounds like a decent deal to me, but then everything is more expensive over here so i have no idea what US prices should be!

What do you plan to use it for?

Personally, I find glasss rods to be a little soft. Don't know how much the graphite core they talk about helps, I suspect it is still a glass rod. When you loose the feel of a quality grapgite blank, it can be hard to actually feel anything. For that price, however, it would likely make an excellent catfish rod (durability), probably not great for bass or sw though.

Rhino's website doesn't have much info on it. You would probably want to find more info on guide materials, reel seat, etc. before making a decision.
