I saw a legend tonight
Just placed on the Queen's honor list, John Mayall played a small 500 seat theatre. He's 72 and spry as a spring chicken. His Jazz Blues Fusion album is one of the first albums I ever bought (over 30 years ago).
Tonight he played the piano with one hand, the harmonica with the other and managed to sing at the same time, all with a hand held mic. The Blues Breakers that played with him are as good as he's ever had. If you've never seen "the father of British blues" perform, do so while you still can!

 While I've never seen John Mayall, I did take my son to see B.B. King - 3rd row of a 1200 seat outdoor setting. Somethig special about seeing a legend live in a small venue. |

John Mayall is awesome... some of the best blues you ever did here. Unfortunately, the Blues festival in France that I went to has been cancelled.
