Spell Checking - Who Knew?

I was doing a bit of research today trying to figure out the exact location and authenticity of Jessica Alba. Found something almost as good.

Many of you probably already know this, but I didn't. There is a spell checker here that works within posts.

When you are writing a post, in the upper right hand corner of the window there is a little abc.



First time it takes you to a download site. Download it. After you reboot, there is an icon in IE (Don't know if it works in firefox but you guys probably already have something better). After reboot, the icon in the post window then activates the spell checker. Works great.

Might be old news for most of you but I'm pretty freaking excited no more cut and paste to and from word.. when I remember.

Nice find! I've also noticed that i can edit my posts now, which i couldn't do a few days ago. But i'm new so maybe i dunno what im talking about. I did nto use speel chek becus quik rply is coolr

Spell checking features are nice, but when are they going to invent a decent grammar checker?

how does one find the location of a member? IP address?

Actually i dont think fiefox has a built in spell checker, but i could be wrong.

I use a google toolbar loaded into Firefox which has a spell check built into it. Im pretty sure the IE google toolbar has one also.

Using Firefox right now, i dont have the spell check option with the post controls. Maybe its just an IE thing.

English is a Type-1, context-sensitive grammar meaning it is often the case that a word may or may not be appropriate in a certain place depending upon the context. Computers aren't very good at this.
