Unhappy People who've just discoverd the net?
My sister just got her first computer and she keeps spamming me with these rediculous emails. "If you send this to 10 people then your wish will come true" type of BS. "Microsoft will pay you to forward this to as many people as you can. This is for real, my cousin got a check for $500 last week!" Ugh. It's killing me. I guess I need to be patient but damn it can be brutal sometimes. Anyone else run into this?

I used to just block people for a couple of months and let them know that they're on probation. Now, when ever I receive that crap I hit 'Reply to All' and insert a nice retort. I will usually pull up an article explaining that the email in bogus and who ever sends them is a moron. While is does't make the sender too happy it starts solving the problem. They'll either wise up or exclude you from the list. Either way you win.

I have an aunt who sends me this stuff incessantly. I have tried directing her to snopes.com which debunks all of the "Microsoft is giving away money" crap. As far as the "inspirational chain letters" I just hit delete. She's starting to ease up a bit, thank God.
