No Tom, your wrong. The Red Sox actually had a better season than the Yankees. You see, by finishing third place and not winning the division or a wild card spot, they spared themselves the embarrassment of a 1st round loss in the playoffs

your team is sitting at home on their couches watching the rest of the playoffs too unless their pathetic defeat to the tigers clouded your brain and has you all depressed causing you to forget that.

Doesn't feel good here in Minnesota. I like the Tigers/A's series though. Probably the two best pitching staffs in the AL anyways...both go three deep. While I wish the Twins had won, I sure as hell am not going to take pleasure in the pain of others.

Hey Smitty - maybe you and I changing each others CUT's was bad karma?

Yea Paul, we def cursed each other. I wish the Yanks had gone on (and the twins for your sake), but Oakland and Detroit played better. Hats off to both teams, and i'm really looking forward to that series. Gonna be a great matchup, and some great baseball!

So you would rather have the Red Sox come in third than to suffer a playoff defeat? Your logic escapes me, but it sounds like maybe you got picked on by some bullies in Yankee T-shirts when you were a kid?

Go Tigers!!!

Oakland played good, but the Twins really gave it away. They made more errors int hose three games than they had made in a long time. Plus, their clutch hitting dissapeared. That should not surprise many Twins fans though, as they had been in a hitting slump or the 10 days prior to the playoffs as well.

You have to bet the networks are pissed that NY is out.

Of course not but I would think it was a waste of a season if they got into the playoffs and didnt even make it passed the first round.
