Almost did the same thing about two weeks ago. My daughter lost her second tooth so we put it away for the tooth fairy that night. At 4:30 the next morning I jolted out of bed instantly remembering that we had forgotten to get the tooth and leave the $. It was a close call.

Great story booker. I've always known you were a good guy but if you care for your kids like that... well you're tops in my book. BTW, You can use the story "Too many kids must have lost their teeth last night, so the tooth fairly will get you tomorrow night". Don't ask me how I know!

Great story! It is the little things in life that make it all worth while. And sometimes the little things are the most important. I remember my little sister when she lost her first tooth. Though your job can effect you so profoundly with its violence and pain, so can your daughter with her peace and innocence. Well she woke up this morning and didnt see the $1.00 I put under her pillow. She was a lil hurt and thought the tooth fairy didnt come and she also thought she lost her tooth (i took it) by time I helped her look all over the room and had to lead her back to her pillow she finally found it and was very happy It did me some good lookiing at her count her money she saved over the years (she only 6 wow) we that made my day and for the most part I Had a good day until my sgt started trippin anyway im off waiting for the next tooth to fall out and thinking about the teen years as some of you talked about and I think ill be ok (i hope) Well im smoking a Las Cabrillas (honduras) i got form someone here on CS then im off to bed. Again thxs fellas and ladies and enjoy you nite and days with the lil ones.....

haha! me and okierock met up after at least 10 years of not seeing each other and were sitting with another pal on a dock at the lake herfin it up. The out comes the phone cams and we simultaneously decide to show each other our kids' tooth-loss pics.

good stuff.

I told my boy if he catches the toth fairy a tooth troll will come the next night and give him a hunnerd bucks for her. He still can't stay awake

Great story Booker! Been down that road three times already! It's those heartstrings getting pulled that make fatherhood worth it!
