Coming out of the closet.
I finally came out of the closet. I told my parents and my wife that I couldn't take it anymore. The lies, the sneaking around to do what I love so much, to soak in the lifestlye I have become so comfortable with.
It had come to the point that I had met so many guys, made so many friends that I loved my new lifestyle. Unfortunately there are so many bigots out there I hid my new lifestyle from friends, family, well hell, everyone in my life. When my wife asked where I was and what I was doing, I began to live a life of lies. It shamed me as I wanted to tell her the truth, to let her know who I truly am and what I truly love, but i was so afraid of the rejection, the recrimination that I continued to hide what meant the most to moe in the world. So yesterday, i finally told them I am a dedicated cigar smoker, that I had fell in love with cigars, and all my friends smoked cigars too. To my delight, they told me they still loved me but I had to act responsibly. So I promised never to smoke in the house or around my father as he is a triple bypass and shouldn't be around smoke. God I feel good now. No more lies and shame.

i still haven't told them, but i think i'll break it to em at thanksgiving with the whole family around....I SMOKE CIGARS AND I DON'T CARE WHO KNOWS IT!!!!!!!!!

Congrats, its awful dark in the closet and the ventilation is bad. You'll be much less a health risk now.

Congrats!
I too had to come out - outside that is as that is the only place the wife will let me light up. I do happen to streak through the house once in a while without her catching me. |

You shouldn't have to hide it, the world just needs to get use to the fact that we're here. I'm not just out of the closet, I'm on the front porch screaming, "I'M HERE AND I LOVE CIGARS WITH BEER!"
