4:55 AM ice on the ground, no snow, start up truck.
5:00 AM go out to truck, snowing hard and ground is white. 5:10 AM Still Snowing and traffic going 20 mph in a 55. 5: 25 AM Snow 1 1/2 and still coming. 5:30 AM Say to heck with it and go back home for a snow day. 5:50 AM Back home (less traffic going this way) and 2 1/2" on the ground with a heavy wind. I forgot to mention last night because of a big wind storm I went to the gas station to get gas for my generator and as I opened my door to get out of my truck, the power went out  Time to open up a bottle of coconut rum and light a fatty.

Got into Seattle late b/c of a full plane and a headwind. We flew over the snow storm on our approach to SEA. Got into the cab at 4:55. Got out of the cab at 6:00 -- in the U-District (should have been a 15-20 minute drive).
That said ... I f'in love Seattle. I hadn't thought of this place as being home for a long time. Tonight that changed. Keep yer fingers crossed, please ~d. |

Well ... I'm on trip #2 now: Athens, GA. Be back at the end of the week! Looking forward to a nice, big cigar -- perhaps something like a 98 Partagas Churchills de Luxe.

Well I'm back. That was a nice trip. Now I have a full week to breathe before heading to Chapel Hill for an exhibit opening.
