Homer T Bedlow turns 102 this month..

Happy Birthday Charles. I was surfing the net for actors I remember from my youth, and Homer came up. The grumpy old guy from many sit-coms in the early days. The evil railroad man who was always trying to shut down the Cannonball.

In 1990, Lane was rushed to the hospital, having difficulty breathing. A doctor asked if he was still smoking, and Lane replied that he had kicked the habit 45 minutes earlier. He never smoked again.
