Politicians are politicians...I wouldn't give a bushel of bananas for any of em.Republican,Democrat,or othrewise!Politics is a game, whereby you must pick the lesser of two, three,or more evils...this is merely a subjective concept. If we're lucky we pick the smaller of the "Antichrists" who will do the less harm to our country,if not we suck a hind tit til next time around, but may I just add that I hope we learned our lesson with Bill Klintoon...One more thing...I always wondered if he smoked those cigars after he and Monica were thru with em

i agree. the lesser of 2 evils.

sorry that i've been so pro-bush. to be honest, i'm not his biggest supporter either, and i WOULD ACTUALLY GIVE KERRY A LISTEN IF HE WERE TO SAY SOMETHING. i'm still waiting..... if he's got a plan, it would help if it were made known to the public.

i feel that bush is still the lesser of the 2 evils here.

Re: consider my experience........

Bush definitely strikes a nerve with me. I was very interested in him in 2000 because he struck a very moderate tone before the election. Unfortunately, he has run too far to the right for me and clearly plans to go even farther if reelected. If Kerry runs too far left, I'll have the same reaction.

I'm what most call an "ultra conservative" I lean so far to the right I sometimes fall over, but you and I are in accord on one thing...I'm not as pro- Bush as I used to be...not because of the war in Iraq, but mostly because of his views on some domestic issues...Aw hell it's all just politics, and we all,be we Republican,or Democrat...know that politics is like a thankless lover...it leaves you fulfiled in some ways, but leaves you wanting in so many others!

but i still feel he did the right thing in regards to the 9-11 attacks. he's not the sharpest tack, but that's what a good cabinet is for.... rumsfeld has some issues as well.

Made in Mexico

Shortly after reading the following e-mail content, I happened to look at the label of a jar of Heinz sandwich slice pickles. Yep.... Made in Mexico"

Check some of your Heinz products. "Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them. He is right, because that has happened.
However, he is trying to blame it on George W. Bush. As far as I know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this country because he is not the owner of a single factory.

That cannot be said about Kerry and his wife, Teresa Heinz-Kerry. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Kerry's own 32 factories in Europe and 18 in Asia and the Pacific. In addition, their company, the Heinz Company, leases four factories in Europe and four in Asia. Also, they own 27 factories in North America, some of which are in Mexico and the Caribbean. 80% of Heinz products are made overseas.

I wonder how many hundreds of American workers lost their jobs when these plants relocated in foreign countries. I also wonder if the workers in Mexico and Asia are paid the same wages and benefits as workers in the United States. Of course they're not. However, Kerry demands that
other companies that relocate should pay the same benefits they did in the U.S. Why does he not demand this of the Heinz Company, since he is married to the owner? If Kerry is elected, will he and his wife close all those foreign factories and bring all those jobs back to America? Of course
they won't. They're making millions off that cheap labor.

WOW, IHT, you make it sound like women should control their husbands. What next equal rights or something?

Re: consider my experience........

She got the NYC vote - not the rest of the state!!!

Honestly, I think she should receive an implant - she's more man than her p*ssy of a husband! Anyone else notice her voice is lower than his?

I'm not a huge bush fan either, but when it's definitely the lesser of the two evils...

The big move of the Heinz company to go global happened in 1886, yes 1886 when Mr. Heinz moved his family to England to try and globalize his product. Most of the growth was internal, until they started buying out other companies with locations in Netherlands, Portugal, Mexico and even in the U.S. (Those started in 195
In short, they didn't "re-locate" factories to other countries. They built and purchased companies/factories outside the US (as well as some in the US) over a period of time. So yes, the Wall Street Journal is correct that the Heinz company is a global company that is based in the US.
As for you ketchup being produced in Mexico, it doesn't suprise me. Tomatos were originally called "love apples", an excotic Mexican fruit.

Re: consider my experience........

i know CC... just figured i'd post something else. but, it does make a point. i figured since it's a global company, they would have factories around the world, it only makes sense to me.

btw - yes, i can't stand hillary. she has a better moustache than i do.

Wait a minute!!! A thread that went political (sorry I jumped on the joke) and stayed civil???!!! Cool!!! My respect to all. And, of course, my respectful disagreement with some.
