No more outdoor smoking for me...

for awhile, anyway. Seems like eons ago that I was basking in 50 degree temps sitting on my deck gazing at the lovely brown grass and liking it! Two storms in 7 days sure can put a damper on mild winter fun. White has never been my favorite color. It's a dry snow though.

Good Lord man! I get cold just looking at the picture.

We got a few inches at our place in Nevada before Christmas, but it melted off in a day. Somehow, I don't think yours is going to melt in the next day or two.

I love pictures of snow, and that’s about as close as I care to get to it!

Re: No more outdoor smoking for me...

Been colder than a well digger's butt in January 'round here for a while now. I've officially turned my car into a gar. Schtank-mobile. I carefully read Mark's tips on how to keep your car smelling good if you smoke in it and soon after decided the best way to keep it smelling good was to keep a FRESH cigar smell to it, so I try to blaze one in there daily nowadays

Great picture, that's a helluva pile of snow there!

Re: No more outdoor smoking for me...

while you all complain about the freezing cold... get to bask in lovely summer weather!

Don't mention weather in about 4 months though!

Re: No more outdoor smoking for me...

I'm up in Northern WI and we been hit a few times during the past four or five days. I don't really have any use for snow and so now am mildly depressed unitl spring. Or, until I move.

That photo of your deck looks pretty close to mine.

Re: No more outdoor smoking for me...

Pretty view, though. Mebbe it's time for a glass-enclosed smoking porch?

Ya can't let a little snow stop you! Actually, when it got cold here I switched to a pipe-short time out in the cold

My Dads side of the family came from the Redwing MN./Elsworth WI. area years ago. My Dad talks about how they had to tie a rope from the house to the barn to keep from getting lost in the snow storms.

My Moms side came from LaCross WI. She said that there were times when the snow got so deep on the side of the road that they would walk to school in snow tunnels.

I love the snow but rarely get very much here. The best snow I ever saw here was nearly 3' in the early 70's and Mt Rainier got around 1200 inches of snow at Paradise that same year.
