Battle of the Sexes (aka: beating a dead horse-Cigar edition)

This has been itching at my brain for a while, so I gotta get it out:

Lodges. There's a place near here called 'The lodge" https://www.the-lodge.com/the-lodge.php . The commericals don't come out and say that it's a strip club. BUT they boast about having damn good steaks and a cigar bar. and there is a little comical bit about a man's wife giving him back his balls to go to the lodge or something like that.

I am down for strip clubs. Hell, I support them all and think prositution should be legal. And damnit, I like a good steak too!

But what the hell man, LADIES smoke cigars too! Not all of us may enjoy a strip club (i do) but hell. I am rather slightly irritated that cigars are automatically associated with men. Hey, we smoke too damnit! I guess we HAVE come along way from back in the day. And im not trying to go all feminazi on yall either (I have a particular disgust for feminazis). But I guess I am just having wishful thinking that society would at least acknowledge that we DO in fact smoke a damn good cigar. Oh wait, society wants us smokers banded.

My point: I don't have one I suppose. Other than: Hey you can have your boys-only clubs, but don't forget that we ladies are smoking right along side ya (but we will stay out the club...ok, maybe not me... )

Standing on a street corner, each of us (my wife and I) smoking a good cigar after watching Alabama win a major football game, it was amazing the looks that my wife got!! And to top that off, several comments could be heard being made about her smoking a cigar, even by women smoking cigarettes as they made the comments!!

That's exactly what we did, we both were !

Statistically more men smoke cigars than women, so I guess you can't blame an advertiser for wanting to target a prime market. But I know what you mean; you get that "on the outside looking in" feeling. I guess it will take one or a group of cigar-loving females to come up with a place that's a little more "girl-friendly" - and I'm not talking exclusively for women, either, so those of you with visions of frilly curtains and potpourri and chit can relax.

I'm talking about the kind of place where you can enjoy a great dinner with your friends or S/O, and then go hang out in the bar or lounge with your scotch and your smoke and digest for a while. Maybe just have some subdued music for background. You know, just a place to unwind and relax.

My fiancee smokes cigars with me, she comes to some of the herfs. She even has a box in my humidor of her stuff. She loves Monte Whites. I think it is sexy when she smokes. It is our time to sit back, talk and enjoy a nice cigar.

For the ladies that smoke cigars out there, way to go!!!

Anita smokes dang near as many stogies as I do. Some weeks more. And she does get odd looks, hell around here we both get strange looks, we just figured we were strange lookin. Our neighbors think its kinda kewl. I ain't been to a strip club in 25 years. Don't miss it. I have a cable connection and strip site is only a click away.

I just glanced at the sire, but didn't really search much. Does it specifically state men only? Is there a strict policy against women? I get a little uptight about restrictions, because if you are allowed to restrict at one club, you can restrict at all and didn't we fight to get rid of segregation not too long ago?

No restrictions that I know of, but if you get a chance to see the commerical, you can kinda see how its more like a male with money place to go, lol. I would have just ignored it usually, but they just HAD to flash the cigar bar and mention it. So yeah, got me a bit antsy for a bit.
