Holiday Ramblings

This Christmas I'm...

Grateful for the the gifts I've been given this season:
Not daring to ask why me? for what reason?

A Beautiful little girl who sleeps on my chest
A nice warm home in which all of us rest...

A shiny new car with great safety features
more luxury comforts than deserved by most creatures...

A loving husband, so gentle and wise
who's heart I can see when I look in his eyes...

A great place to work with some wonderful friends
plenty to keep busy, the stream never ends...

When I look at those others, who don't have so much,
my heart reaches out, my prayers hope to touch

I'm grateful to God for the life I've been given,
I'm grateful for friends to help me with livin'

Oh, and
I won't worry about losing that 10 pounds just yet,
Oh so many sweet things to enjoy, I won't fret.

I simply won't worry that my house isn't clean,
there's too many old friends that I haven't seen.

Too many christmases I've spent in a tizzy,
working and cleaning and baking myself dizzy.

I'm determined for this year, and this is just the start
to enjoy my life, and be grateful, with all my heart...

I'll tell you all, you're a great bunch of gorillas, Thanks for becoming an online home!

Thanks, CL.
My son's best friend leaves for Iraq next week.

I think I'll go give the wife and kids a kiss.

You know HP, that came out because a co-worker was telling me about a situation she'd heard of - in the church we get to hear all sorts of sad stories. There's a family in mourning right now for their 5 year old daughter. They thought she had a stomach virus, they thought she was recovering. After putting her to bed, she started throwing up again, so her father took her in the bathroom to clean her up while her mother changed the sheets (how many of us have done the same thing) she died in her fathers' arms in that bathtub from an intestinal blockage. Can you imagine?

My little critter is 5 - I wanted to run over to her school and hug her. Since that's not an option, I sat here thinking over just how blessed I really am. It will be a loooong time before I take the good things in my life for granted again!

Yeah! Capture & cherish those moments. They are all so brief.

a safe return to your son's best friend.

just went to the playroom to hug my 2 grandsons,Johnny 7 and Joe smokeatellli(nickname because his real name is a mouthful) almost 3 and of course I had to break up the fight they were in.

Re: Holiday Ramblings

CL leave it to you to get the tear flowing. I don't have children myself. But the future wife has 2 beautiful boys. They Live with me and I really truely love them as though they are my own. I don't know what I would do if anything would happen to them.

You really have to think. I hope you son's friend well. My prayers go with him. I kicked up the Ring to you also. The Poem was beautiful.
