While she's a bit of an oddball for suggesting a regulation, I'm a tad unsure why this gets lumped under the topic tile "Global warming Morons" -- as if to help discredit those who would work to slow or stop human-caused warming. The overwhelming majority of scientist agree that global warming is happening and is most likely human-caused (see recent IPCC report). Given this generally accepted fact, why resort to ad hominems and other fallacies to respond to arguments that we ought to take action now or face serious consequences?

IHT - is that the report that was commissioned by the UN that has no scientific proof in it at all?? and can you name the "overwhelming majority of scientists" for us, the ones with degrees in this subject? because i've seen/read/heard an "overwhelming majority of scientists" who refute the "IPCC report".

i do not disagree with taken any measures possible in slowing down humans consumption of natures byproducts though - whether or not is has anything to do with "warming" of the earth or not.

Professor-with all due respect, it appears that there is substantial debate about whether this is just the cycle continuing or if it is truly man-made. Why not ban vegetables, they cause farts.

You know, technically you're not saving trees by not using paper, because the toilet paper is already toilet paper and it can't go back to a tree (although I'm sure THEY will find a way). So I say, as long as you don't clog your toilet, use all the paper you can because some poor tree died for you to wipe your ass with it

If I used only 1 sheet, I would save a tree for sure, but I would waste more fossil fuels using hot water to wash up after. Al Gore can buy carbon credits, I would buy poop credits. This whole thing sounds crappy to me!!!

Yeah... I'm not about to try to use one square, especially not the stuff they offer on campus. She's batshit crazy.

P.S. She was at my campus a couple weeks ago and some of my friends had a Global Warming pool party to protest her stupidity. The way I look at it is, global warming is melting ice, polar bears live on ice, polar bears eat baby seals, ergo, by melting the ice and killing the polar bears, I'm doing my part to save baby seals! Hippies should love that, yeah?
