Thoughts on the otterbox

I'm looking at buying a better travel humi. I've seen these otterbox 5 and 15 count humi's from several vendors.

I need something tough enough for golf outings, fishing and hunting trips ect...

Any thoughts?

Re: Thoughts on the otterbox

Got one in an auction. Seems to be pretty sturdy...it's survived my day pack for a couple of weeks.

Tasteful, no. Elegant...hardly. I wouldn't ship anything to the sandbox in it, but it'll do for golf.

I've got a golf buddy who has a small one and loves it. I've been thinking of replacing my zip-lock system with one. If you find a good place to buy, let me know.

Would they keep your smokes in good condition for say a week? Some of my fishing/hunting trips are 5 to 7 days long?

Just bring along a small container of 50/50 and all will be well.

Buddy of mine who is just getting into cigars got the CI sampler with the 15ct otterbox. He uses it as his only storage and it works fine.

as someone mentioned, if you bring a DECENT humidification device, all will be fine.

i travel for (sometimes) up to 24-30+ days at a time, like this next one that'll start on monday.

i have a 16 count Elite travel humi, and have borrowed a co-workers Otterbox that holds 25 or more... and i was gone over 3 weeks and it was fine.

i am going to get one, because this 16 count one is too small for my long trips.

also, get yourself one of THESE and it will take care of everything.

Re: Thoughts on the otterbox

I picked one up yeayerday at my local shop. I have gotten to know the owner real well there as well as most of his staff and he really made me a deal on it. I like it cause I can beat and bang it around and I don't have to worry about my cigars being hurt.
