Re: Heeeeeeeeeere's Johnny, gone but not forgotten
I worked after school my junior and senior years in HS, I would get off between 10:30 and 11:00 at night. Go home take a shower and be ready for Heeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny. I loved that monologue. Does anyone remember Bob Uecker? A catcher for the Milwaukee Braves in the 50's and 60's and the play by play man in Major League. Those two were hilarious together. Johnny Carson was and always will be tops in late night tv.....

I know he smoked cigarettes, but did he ever smoke stogies?

Uecker, remember him well, Johnny always made fun of how bad he was. The truth is he was a good catcher in his time, but always loved it when them two got together. He was great.

Re: Heeeeeeeeeere's Johnny, gone but not forgotten
I remember as a kid that watching the Johnny Carson Show (that is what everyone I knew called it!) was almost a right of passage. To finally be able to stay up that late and man, was that show ever funny!
Remember Karnak? Who was that buxom blonde that was always in the skit with Johnny as the car salesman? Remember Johnny as the backwoods hunter? Oh man, too funny! Late night TV was never the same after he left... well thanks for the memories Johnny! ![]()
