time for a good smoke tonight and then back home tomorrow morning in time to be there when my mom wakes up from surgery.

Thanks man. Im kind of getting mixed reactions from those in the know (mainly my dad and sister). The cancer spread to her hips, pelvis, and spine. Hips are shot, so she is getting a new one tomorrow as well as some other treatment to fortify the other one.

At times it seems that they want to make the remainder of her time as comfortable as possible, other times it seems like the plan of attack is to get her strength and spirit up so she can fight this. Im hoping for the second.

I’m sure she will be fine.
The hip replacement sounds painful.. I was in the hospital this time last year, I fell of a roof, broke and destroyed my leg, and tore all my ligaments hyper extended and separated my knee and broke my hip. They almost had to amputate but luckily after two 12 hour surgerys I still have it. Needless to say it was painful, especially the hospital rehab where they make you bend you leg, ouch.
Now, every time I drive by a hospital I feel for everybody in there.
Keep us posted on her recovery.
