Tristan, that Tele is lovely, with the Bigsby. I'd buy one in a shot if I could afford it.

It's a 1982 '52 Reissue. 1982 was the first year of the "Vintage Series." This butterscotch is my number one by far! Only wish it had a little fatter neck.

How cool. I have kept (and re-tubed and re-capacitor'd) my ancient pre-ABC Fender Vibro Champ (I call it the Vibro Chimp) thru thick and thin. Love that little guy (photo not mine, but identical).

I also have an Allan Shockley cactus didgeridoo (Dream Pipe) but at 5-feet long and only a few inches in diameter it does not foto very well; it does sing, tho. Everybody should have a digeridoo. No cord. Very relaxing, circular breathing. It sounds like:

Very nice to hear the didgeridoo. Although I have played one on ocassion I have not gained any degree of mastery. I will definitely obtain one someday and in the leisure moments practice the "circular breathing" that would serve me on so many different levels.

Thanks for sharing,

Richard

Thanks man! The moment I saw it at the local store I was in love. The guy in there I do a lot of business gave me a price I couldn't refuse; that was shy of $50 above their cost. He got yelled at for selling it to me so cheap.

It's a japenese model and I couldn't be happier with the action, playability and tone. The only thing I may do down the line is replace the pickups with noiseless Custom Shop. Although, the slight buzz is kind of vintage and kind of makes the whole package almost more appealing.

Then its probably eh '62 Tele custom reissue. I spent three weeks trying to find a way to afford one that didn't involve any credit schemes, I love Tele's.

My Appalachian Dulcimer

I started playing the dulcimer after I made one from a kit back in the early 70s. To me it is soothing drone instrument that lends itself to improvisation.

Here is Joni playing one

Brian Jones of the Rolling Stones Played one on the Classic "Lady Jane"

Jimmy Page plays one on Led Zeppelin (IV)'s "Rock and Roll" and there's Cyndi Lauper, Dolly Parton and I am sure many more...

Re: Your Guitar(s) & Instruments—Photos Please

This was my PawPaws guitar. Just got it back from Gibson repair at Thanksgiving. Repaired a few cracks, new tuners, new frets and a new bridge for lower action. Its a 1930's L-4. Definitely likes to be finger picked.
