I woud imagine his biased documentary about Cuba will be as biased and one sided as anything the idiot has done in the past. Great healthcare in Cuba. Sure, I always love to hear that ignorant statement (not intended as insult but rather as the true definition of the word). Well, if Cuba has an enviable health care system then I am the Pope. Would anyone believe that I am? Why not? If anyone believes Cuba has a great healthcare system for all the people, equally for all the people, well, then I guess I am the Pope and that too should be believed. I guess my relatives that get teeth pulled with no medication, in cold blood, would love a shot at seeing just how lousy our system really is.

Now.......anyone really care to read what I really think of Michael Moore?

Let me set the record straight... I just wanted to start some discussion about him. People have seen my posts in the past on this POS. HE IS A POS and is on both sides of the fence. I tought this topic was worth the discussion.

I would not want anyone to think my comments are intended at anyone other than an opinion of MM, and not a good one at that obviously.
I think it is always best to talk about these things than try to sweep them under.
Personally, glad I had an oppotunity to voice what I think of him, not that it will have any impact on his finances.

The fact that our country is consumed with guns and violence and no one paid enough attention to any of the students at that school. THere isnt a day that goes by I dont think about some student bringing in a gun. Seeing his movie put a lot of things into perspective, perhaps we could have learned from that and a lot more and other tragedies in our schools might not have occured. ie VT.

I saw the film last week. I'm fairly conservative and don't like the idea of socialized medicine but it's very hard to watch the full two hours and not come away thinking we can do better. I mean, no one should have to pay for my health care. I eat too much, I exercise too little, and I drink and smoke. At the same time if I have to go to the hospital and spend a few days in ICU there is no excuse for me having to take a second mortgage on my house to pay for it.

I find it funny that the people who hate him most are the first ones to support him. They head to the movies first so they have something to talk about; or should I say ridicule.

I really couldn't care less if he fell off the face of the earth tomorrow. I have never seen any of his movies. But I think he is doing something good. Even if his movies are all propaganda, they promote discussion on what could change for the better. It's healthy for society.

His first movie was a steaming pantload as well. I saw the movie in high school and believed it, then I started learning the truth a few years later when I read a column of the movie's inaccuracies...and then I actually talked briefly with a man from Flint.

I didn't waste my time on Columbine...I had a royally f*cked up time from elementary school all the way through high school, and I never shot any of my classmates even though I had access to guns all the while. The problem lies deeper than any so-called "gun culture".

My thoughts? Michael Moore is an useless self-aggrandizing douche bag who exploits people in need to further his own financial and/or political motives. In short, he is just like everybody else in Hollywood.........but fatter.

I pondered this. Why take them to Cuba which has a human rights record that's second to only Iran to get healthcare? Why not Canada? Britain? Sweden? These were all viable alternatives that have health care systems different from our own. Also each of these countries doesn't treat their people like garbage. Why go to a totalitarian regime that has threatened the US with nuclear weapons? Could it be the controversy that it would create? No, can't be.........MM would not do something just to get his movie more attention.
