Old 97's had a new album just come out called "Blame it on gravity" I have only heard one track so far but sounds great. Pretty much my favorite band for a long time. Love a lot of other stuff some of which has already been listed such as Franz Ferdinand.

I love Wired All Wrong....it's not super new, but it is one of the last 2 or 2 CD's I've bought. If there are any Self/Matt Mahaffey Fan's out there...this CD is a must!
Since Bluegrass was mentioned (over two years ago) I'll through out Split Lip Rayfeild into that catagory...fun stuff  Last CD I bought was Mike Doughty's newest. (My band actually got to open up for M. Doughty once...it was awesome!!) Golden Delicious is not as good as his other stuff, but still has some great moments in it. Nothing he has done or will do could ever beat Soul Coughing IMO. |

Well, since I'm not that long in the tooth, my favorite bands have been around longer than I have. I would have to say that my favorite "new" stuff from an older band is A Matter of Life and Death by Iron Maiden.
