During dinner, I went to the restroom and called my best friend who was waiting next to my house in his car. That was his cue to come up and put the bear on my front porch along with two dozen roses. He rang the door bell and ran away. I had her get the door. She grabbed the bear, listened to it, and turned around to see me on one knee with the ring.
I did that last July. Fast forward a little bit, and now I'm getting married next Saturday, July 7.

My wife loves the beach so I built a beach in her back yard overnight complete with sand, a kiddie pool, tiki torches and an ocean sounds cd. (We lived in Missouri, so not too many beaches). I woke her up to watch the sunrise on "the beach."
Corny, but it worked (either that or she was too tired to realize what was happening).
