STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on much this week, had a heart attack on Sunday, pain real high up in the chest and tremendous pain in my jaw and teeth. Not what I expected it to feel like at all, they said that pain in the jaw and teeth are a direct indicator, now I know. Had a triple angioplasty done on Wednesday after two days of testing, got lucky and didn't have to have a bipass. Damn I don't get it, my cholestorol is 181, the bad one only 85, blood pressure 110 over 65. The doc said that heredity is the main factor, thanks dad. I quit smoking Marlboros, but not cigars, trying to limit it to one a day. I'll be off work for a while, just happens to be during the playoffs and super bowl. Time to eat more chicken I guess. Smoke rings and long ashes to everyone. Watch out for that jaw and tooth pain!!}>

RE: STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN

OMG I'm so glad to see you are ok! Scary stuff. My dad woke up in the middle of the night screaming in pain when I was a kid. I can only imagine....although he didn't get so lucky, had triple by pass and all genetic too but at least he had warning (his dad had a history). Glad to hear you are feeling better but don't overdo it cause everytime stuff like that happens you feel fine but it takes a long time to really recover. I think my dad liken'ed it to catching the flue, feeling fine one minute and then just weak the next. Take care of yourself my friend and please don't overdo too much too soon.

Damn dude, glad your still kicking. I think I need to call MY doc. I had those same pains around the first of the month. May I ask how long your jaw hurt? Mine lasted for about a week, it was just out of the blue, and at times I could not even eat. The chest pains, well I have had many for the last several months anyways.....

RE: STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN

Hey Wayne, my jaw and teeth only hurt at the same time that I had pain in my chest, happened a couple times a day for 4 days, lasted about 15 minutes each. The last one woke me up in the middle of the night. When they inflated the balloon in the arteries during the angioplasty the exact pain was duplicated. By the way the first cigar I smoked when I got home was the Puros Viejo, the best cigar that Puros has ever made. JMHO}>

RE: STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN

Thanks for asking about my Dad, I was in the same room he was when he came up to visit me, kind of ironic. He is now golfing three times a week and is fully recovered. You can mooch off me anytime you want.}>

RE: STILL ALIVE AND KICKIN

Thanks everyone for your kindness and caring, I consider this to be my home away from home, I really missed it when I was incapacitated. This has got to be the best place on the internet!!!!
