Although I mentioned it to you yesterday, reading about your loss struck close to home for me.

Before marrying 3 years ago, my beloved Border Collie was my only roomate and was with me on the boat and just about everywhere I went outside work.

My 2 1/2 year old has become very close to him and his name was one of the first words she spoke.

He is getting old and although I am trying to mentally ready myself for the inevitable day, I fear it.

I hope you realize the kindness you showed your pet more than likely was greater than many people show to their fellow man and hopefully this brings you some comfort.

I am passing to you a virtual pat on the back for your kindness and concern.
