Booker, truly sorry to hear of your loss. Give your little girl a hug for us.

Something a friend of ours did for another friend who lost a long time pet was to take her outside and look at the night sky. He told her to pick a prominent star, so she pointed to one and he named the star after her cat. He said that whenever she looked to the heavens at night their was this star, looking down on her and protecting her.

Perhaps something nice to do for your daughter?

Sorry you lost a good friend bro'. Some time back I read a vet's account of how a family came to grips with the loss of their dog. The 4 year old boy said he knew why animals don't live as long as people do - I don't know if this really happened but it's a nice sentiment...

Hey Booker,

I am sorry for this loss for your family. Pets have a way of becoming an integral part of our lives. My sister just lost her dog of 14 years and had to sit down with her 7 and 11 year old. Of course, they did not know of a time without their "Harley." Praying for you guys.
