Re: Weekend Contest!
Bruce, I took a look at some of your previous post to get some real info before making my gamble. It is clear you have a lot of pipes of all sorts, mainly High Grades, you are either a very rich man or a poor one as a pending result. You have taste. You maintain you pipes very well. You are an addicted buyer of fine briar continually adding to an already mighty collection. Your favorite shape is ever changing and in that, is debatable along the lines of, how infinite is infinity?
My guess when all is said and done is; 57 pipes Billards (although you might 'think' its pots!) Larry Roush |

Re: Weekend Contest!
Ok...the contest is closed and the winner is:
Kayak Rat! He came the closest in number. My collection consist mainly of Pots, six Roush Pots, two Chonowitcsh's, one T. Knudsen, one S. Bang, one Sixten Ivarsson, and one Matzhold. These are all true Pots and I am not confusing these with Billiards as was suggested. My favorite pipes are made by Roush, Bang, and Chonowitsch. Naming any of these three would have qualified as a correct answer. As far as the number of pipes, I currently have 41 in my racks, 2 at Briar Blues for sale, and 3 at Vintage Briars for sale.....total of 46 pipes. So Kayak, let me know what type of tobacco you like and I will match up an old Dunhill tin to your preference. Or better yet, list 5 Dunhill tins that you would like to try and I'm sure I will have at least one on your list to send you. As mentioned before, the tins are Murray's production, not the current Orlick. Congratulations! |
