Desperation
So, about a week or so ago I ran out of wood matches. I have been wanting to smoke my pipe since. I have not had the time to buy any. today I said to hell with it and used a normal paper match. OMG!!!! did it make my tobacco taste like
. I was wondering, will this flavor stay in my pipe, or dissapper? because as I cleaned it with the pipe cleaner, it reeked of that hanious taste.bleah, i wanna puke.

Re: Desperation
i've used paper matches on some occasions, and let the sulfer burn off before i put it to the tobacco - didn't notice any funny flavors.
it should NOT be in your pipe after 1 or 2 smokes with paper matches...

Re: Desperation
I tried smoking the same tobacco (Prince Albert) in the same pipe with wood matches. (yes, I finally got wood matches) I have since come to believe the taste is from the tobacco.
I'm gonna clean my pipes as well on the safe side, but I'm 100% sure is it PA, as the same taste was there, but not as potent. (or it could be the lingering taste still there for the few bowls as mentioned)Thanks for the helpful replies.
