Sometimes I wonder.......

Sunshine Polishing Cloths
Just got one of these from a pipe maker to clean the silver on my pipes. He also told me it's great for stems.
So I tried it out, and it does a great job polishing vulcanite/ebonite stems! Brings them back to a shiny deep black. Now it won't remove small tooth marks, but it does get rid of the oxydation (graying) on the stems. Works so well that I just polished all my pipes and it made a dramatic difference. The only other way of getting a deep black finish is to fine sand, then polish using a stem polish (or alternative), and then waxing. |

Re: Sunshine Polishing Cloths
![]() Yeah it's not a special pipe accessory per-say, so you can get them at most jewelry stores or online real easy. Heck, I'm sure if you just bring your pipe to a jeweler he may just polish it for you right then and there for free. Depends on the jeweler though ![]() |
