Crappy day in my Pipe smoking Career
Well, after my looong week at work I got home today and decided I would light up a bowl of Nightcap in my Kaywoodie. So before eating some dinner I layed out some on the lid under a lamp to dry it out a bit. Needless to say I definently did something wrong, I couldn't get it to light or smoke good at all. I ended up dumping the bowl after a concertated 20 minutes of trying to get it to work for me. Being frustrated and wanting to try again I packed a bowl of Sherlock Holmes in another pipe and stept outside again, this one smoked better but the taste seemed off and it was not at all enjoyable and so after another 20 minutes or so I ended up pitching this bowl as well. All I can think is that I packed the bowl to tight leading to draw problems, although I tried to follow Franks method.
Ended up grabbing a Rocky Patel Edge Natural, this also burned terribly and ended up canoing so badl that I tossed it at just over the half-way mark. Grabbed another stick, this time a CAO Brazillia mini from a tin. The CAO was at least smokeable but it got hot early and I ended up putting it down. And to think all I wanted was to smoke some nice tobacco and relax, now I've successfully wasted two bowls and two sticks... what a way to start the weekend  /rant

I've had those days before bro. Not yet with my pipe, but many times with a cigar. Look forward to it all day, and when the moment finally comes it's a let down and not enjoyable. Tomorrow is a new day and a new experience. That's what I always tell myself anway.

LOL, if I didn't smoke on rainy days I would never smoke. The monsoons are just starting, and won't let up for months. Two winters we beat the record in this region with over thirty straight days of rain last year.

Its been off and on rain all afternoon/evening here so maybe that has something to do with it. Although not getting to smoke a nice bowl lead me to much progress on my pipe carving so it worked out in the end
