Momoyama II is really better than Momoyama? I had heard it was slightly inferior.

I mean two tins of Momoyama. These are indeed the original blend.

I have seen one or two tins listed on ebay... Unfortunately it seems like they show up rarely & go for $$$ when they do.

I have never tried the Momoyama II, however, I have several friends that have, who also love and cherish the original Momoyama. They all tell me the it does have a distinct similarity to the original, but it has a slightly sweeter overall flavor and a slightly fruitier flavor profile.

The difference is thought to be that the ingredients, although the same by name, come from different regions and as a result the flavors are slightly different. Momoyama II was produced in a limited run by McBaren. They were given the recipe by Japan Tobacco so they could produce it for release in Japan. It was released in 100g tins
