Ebay Tragedy.

Well, after carefully watching all the goodies on ebay today and mindlessly sitting in front of the coputer with a childlike wide eyed look on my face for a good two hours, I lost all of the auctions that I really wanted. So what was I to do? How about bid on items that I didn't want as badly, but could now convince myself that I needed. Only one problem, I lost those too. So I closed the ebay tab, sat there in pity for myself, and then went Iwan Ries and bought up all the pipes on my wishlist. It was the only sensible thing to do.

i missed out on a couple as well, got way higher than i thought they'd be (or should have been).

by that i mean: there's a dude that's bidding about 3-5 minutes out... then he comes back and bids again around 20-30 seconds out...
knowing that the person will be sitting there watchin (or have gotten their outbid notice email).
if that person is really trying to win, they're doing a bad job of it.
and no offense to the person selling, just that there's some ppl who haven't quite figured out ebay yet.

just lost on that sweet little savinelli punto oro... i had a max bid of 27, and i hit confirm bid with 4 seconds left, and it lagged... i lost... it went for $16.05!!



edit: now that's what i hate... i was all set up, had enough of a bid, clicked the damn button, and the net "lags". that would've been a fuggin STEAL. a savinelli at $17 or so... damn.

The problem I see are people fighting hours or even days before the end of the auction causing the prices to go up. I apologize if I took one of you guys out on two Brebbias today. I usually execute my first bid within 10-20 seconds to the end of the auction. I spent a whopper on a punto oro coralle w/silver band today. I never paid so much for a pipe, but I did a lot of research and its original price twice what I spent.

I have one more punto oro I have my eyes on that closes in one day and change. It is a 515 KS from GA. I really want this one. I really enjoy the punto oro line. I saw the punto oro that you guys were talking about and that was a steal to whoever got that one. Bastages.

jump in, there's a couple more than should go for under $25-30... i stress the word "should".
