Just googling newbie info. The intention was to find a great community to help me get into pipe smoking, but I immagine this will probably lead to temptations to starting a good reserve of cigars as well.

Welcome, guys. And you're right...that IHT-fella is ONE SCARY BASTAGE!!! While I'm new to pipes too, Greg and I joined CS around the same time. In fact, I feel partially to blame for him being "the drunken guest that just won't leave". It seems that I was one of the main instigators that sent him ass-over-elbows down the Slippery Slope with JL2s (and others)!Anyway, I'm not trying to jack your thread. Just wanted to echo the sentiment that there are A LOT of quality people on Club Stogie who are always willing to help. If it's anything like getting into cigars, take the advice & opinions of the guys that have been around, keeping in mind that testing & trying everything for yourself is what it's all about! John |
