Aero vs "regular" in pipes

Should I keep a set of pipes for aeros and one for other blends? I have really fallen in love with the Nording I got for Christmas and would like to use it for just about everything.

Of course, i am not adverse to buying more...

you should have separate pipes if you want the non aros to taste the way they normally do. You can smoke both in the same pipe (its not going to break it), but the aros will leave an aftertaste ("ghost") in the pipe. most people divide their pipes into aromatics, english/oriental, and virginia/vaper.

You should also let your pipe "rest" for a few days to let it dry out between smokes. I'd recommend using a separate pipe for aromatics.

Alot has been written about how many pipes you should have in your rotation and what pipes people dedicate to certain blends. It's probably a matter of personal prefeference. For me, the minimum would be, a diffenent pipe for the major categories: Aromatics, Virginias, English, etc.

Deffinitley keep those seperate. Seperating Latakia and non-latakia is also good, but at the very least you shouldn't smoke aromatics and non-aromatics in the same pipe.

Re: Aero vs "regular" in pipes

Thanks for the input. After a recent buying spree on Ebay, I should have plenty of pipes to have a nice full rotation. I hadn't thought about a separate pipe for the different blends, still a little noobish yet.

thanks again.
