welcome skatalite (one of my favorite ska bands is called "the skatalites" <- that's a link), and welcome perogee (sounds like a food my wife loves, probably a different spelling).
testing if i can link to in embeded mp3 of the skatalites.

edit: post 12,400? you think i'd be banned by now. do i get a prize?

Yep, the Skatalites are legendary. I love ska music and was even in an Oklahoma ska band for quite some time. Glad to see someone who knows where I got my name from! It's my username for every forum I use, and you wouldn't believe how many people call me "skatealot." Sheesh!

But thanks for the welcome

i understand. mine stands for "Im-Ho-Tep" the mummy (and avatar), and ppl would jack that all up, "i'm a ho temporarily" and stuff like that.
so they'd abbreviate it to IHT, and now that's what i use. i guess the '-' in the name are too hard to type.

And here I am thinking it means "I hate tamales."

Thanks for the welcome, I am really enjoying it here.
And Perogee is actually a spelling error that stuck
(it was supposed to be perigee, but I did not know how to spell it at the time, now Perogee is how I skulk, lol)

Absolutely love it man. A tad sweeter than I usually care for, but it seems to balanced very well. The Fillmore is a Perique bomb, not 100% sure about it. The cigar is resting nicely.......may meet its death tonight.

I felt the same way the first few times I smoked it. I now have a dedicated pipe to it, and I smoke it at least 3 times/week. I was hoping you'd have better luck with the Fillmore than I did, sorry! I think I may smoke an Anejo today as well, enjoy it!

Just so IHT knows I can post in the piper's forum....heh.
I smoked a pipe a lot around 20-25 years ago, just started again in 2006. I am primarily a cigar smoker, but I do enjoy a pipe occasionally. I only have about 6 or so, and a couple are cobs that I really enjoy smoking.
I read a bit down here, and am impressed with all the knowledge some folks are sharing. Keep up the good work...pleasant forum.

Re: Pipe Forum: new members (introduce yourself)

Hi all, new to pipes and CS, have been smoking cigars

for a while. I used to hang out at the devil site but I got

tired of the attitude with a lot of what goes on there.

Anyhow, I found this site a few months ago and have

been lurking around. Picked up my first pipe about two

weeks ago (need to grab a few more, the days rest is

too long between bowls!!) Have only smoked aromatic

so far but will be ordering a few English blends tonight

along with a cob. The fiance is not happy about the

pipe, ( 3 humidors and two coolerdors busting at the

seams!) I keep telling her pipes will be different!!!

Yeah right, she knows me better!!!! I have enjoyed the

pipe so far and think I have found a new home here at

CS! Thanks for all the great info so far.
