Butternut Burley smells like....

...Captain Black? At least that is my first impression, just opened the zippo bag I just received from 4noggins (plus other goodies), more to come when I have a chance to try this and the others (Irish flake, Kendal flake, Bob's chocolate, Escudo, haddo's Delieght, and a freebie sample of "Bald Headed Teacher")

Regards
Carlos

I don't think they smell the same but it's been a long time since I smelled the Captain. Even if it does, it's not bitey and goopy like the Captain. Enjoy and let us know what you think.

Re: Butternut Burley smells like....

Tried the BB and I liked it, very easy to smoke and no bit in the tongue or goopy at all. I´ll be looking forward to try some more. Also tried Escudo but to be honest I cannot say much, I´ll try some more to see if i find it better.

Regards

I've never tried Captain Black, but Butternut Burley is one of my current regulars.

Re: Butternut Burley smells like....

The BB is becoming a favorite, very easy to keep going and very mild and just sligtly sweet, quite appropiate for a big bowl when you do not fancy nothing stronger...

But the Escudo...that one I have not "understood" yet...

Kendal Cream Flake is also nice and Bob's chocolate...ufff, this one is maybe for small bowls, too much...flavour!

Captain Black was my first tobacco. I'm glad I perservered.

I still haven't found a great/perfect tobacco, but I'm glad I don't smoke CB anymore. I wish it tasted like it smells.

Capitan Black really isn't that bad, in fact, I've really yet to find a drugstore tobacco that I didn't enjoy, it just so happens that I like "premium" tobacco better, . I think I may just go pick up a pouch of CB tomorrow though.
