Best bulk Latika blend

Hi all,

I'm still working on a bag of bulk I bought at the local tobacco shop, sadly they have a terrible selection of tobacco other than aromatic. I bought the one "english" mix they had and it's pretty good, in fact I need to call the guy and find out the brand. It's an english/ oriental with a little latika... I like it.

Can someone else who is a Latika fan point me in the direction of a good bulk? I am going to order a Tin of Frog Morton as I hear it's good but I'd like something a tad cheaper for everyday or in my case every night smoke.

My vote goes for Penzance. You can get it in bulk from 4noggins.

If you like a little oriental mixed in with the Latakia, GL Pease's Odyssey is available from smokingpipes.com. Very nice, too!

Had some Westminster yesterday that's pretty good w/oriental and latakia. Personally, I'm a fan of Squadron Leader. You can get it in bulk from just about any of the sites that offer bulk.

In addition to Penzance, I would also suggest C&D Pirate Kake and Boswell's Northwoods. These two are musts for the latakia lover!

5110 from McClelland is quite good. The description from McC is "similar to Frog Morton", this might be what you are looking for.

I second Odyessy for a good latakia...

I'm also a fan of the frog mortons also. They arent quite bulk but smokingpipes has a sale on the Frog line.

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. I'm thinking I'm gonna order some penzance and give er a whirl, then move on...ah the joys of pipe tobacco!

So far, my favorite tobacco to date is Gloden Cashmere by Just for Him. I had another bowl of it tonight and it is great. virginias oriental and perique...it went so well with my Wild turkey and a splash of ginger ale....good stuff!
