Rubbing One Out
How do you rub out pipe tobacco. I got some flake and didn't know what that meant exactly, now I see I need to break it down by hand. Is there a proper technique to this? How coarse or how fine should I make it?
Smells good but I'm just not sure what do with it. |

Re: Rubbing One Out
I usuallly take out three or four flakes and gently rub them between my thumb and fingers. The top of the tin comes in handy for this. After it's broken up, I place the larger strands in first and continue packing like a normal tobacco. Any of the really fine stuff can be poured over the top (helps with lighting, IMHO). One notable crusty old salt I know just stuffs the flakes in whole and fires right up
. Best Brown usually flakes out nicely. After you play around for a while you'll learn to adjust the burn by varying the size of the rub. Have fun and enjoy your smoke.
