Cheap pipe lighter...

I was thinking about picking up a few of these lighters to have lying around as backups. Sure, a couple boxes of matches would serve the same purpose, but I like to collect different lighters. Does anyone have experience with this particular model?

That is either one heck of a deal or a POS. For the price it is worth try.

I actually have a couple of their lighters, I just picked them up because they were so cheap I figured that if they were a POS, no big loss. The ones I have (I don't have that one) seem to work fine, but I haven't refilled them or anything so no telling how long they'll actually last.

It's a sharp looking lighter I think. $4.33? and it has a built in tamper? Yeah why not?

The website calls it a cigar lighter. I guess the emblem of a pipe wasn't enough of a clue that its a pipe lighter.

I noticed the same thing. I mean, I've never tamped a cigar, but I guess you could.

I have purchases 5 different torches from this company and been very happy with each. I have give away 20-30 of them over the past 6 months and as far as I know they are all still in action. They come with very good fuel, but once you load them with Vector or Lava they become flame throwers!

I was gifted a Bentley Pipe Lighter and I use it all the time!!

and I put Xikar fuel in it and its a flamethrower now!!

I just ordered it. It will be my first pipe lighter. The weather is about to get warmer so now I'll have something light my pipe with when I smoke outside. I'll let you guys know how it works out.

You can get a zippo pipe lighter for 18-20 bucks. For the quality and lifetime guarantee of a zippo I think that's hella cheap. They're also great pipe lighters IMO. A real soft flame that won't mess up the rim of the bowl but lights easily.

I've carried Zippo for years. Bomb proof. Idiot proof. Less heat. And if you can actually mess one up, the company will make it right for the cost of shipping (though in the last 3+ decades, I've yet needed to take the company up on that offer). I'll just stick with what works, thank you.

What the Hell, for $12 & change, with free S&H, I ordered 3 today. I need a couple to carry loose in the car and a hip belt-pouch that I carry tobacco and cleaners in. I'm always worried about losing my Old Boy, so now I can just keep it at home! I'll provide a follow up on my thoughts once I get them.

I have one of those. Bought it the last time I did a torch order from those guys. The lighter works great and is a heck of a deal. It's not of great build quality and the tamper doesn't lock in place like the Old Boy, but it's a great knock-around pipe lighter.
