Bummer for all pipers

The Danish pipe maker Bjarne has recently passed away so the supply of new Bjarne pipes is limited. I went down and bought a beautiful bent rusticated with a Lucite stem because of this sad occasion. I would encourage you all to get a Bjarne if you don't have one or get another if you do. Best smoking pipes I have.

and i say this jokingly, but you may need to think about changing the beginning of your username "quick". i think we had two topics about this two weeks back when it happened.

on topic: it IS a bummer, as i now have 1 f his pipes, and everyone i know who has one says it smokes great.

Also just to let you know, from what I understand Bjarne wasn't that much involved in making his pipes like he used to be, so I am assuming the pipes will be continued to be made without him. I could be completely wrong on this though.

My local guy is pals with him and is skeptical on the availibilty of Bjarnes. Maybe his guys will start there own thing under a different name.

This was my understanding as well Kyle. There seems to be no shortage of them out there. It is a shame though, pipe making is a niche art form. Truly takes a unique individual.
