Need a Tobac Recommendation!
I am still smoking my way though the newbie pipe trade I did awhile back and so far two have become clear favorites:
Esoterica Stonehaven and a Macbarren (Frog Morton on the Bayou I think). Any recommendations on things to try based on those? Thanks!!

Re: Need a Tobac Recommendation!
Peterson Old Dublin is awesome stuff. It's kinda like Frog Morton(the frog is good as well)on the town if you ever tried it, but better in a way.
If you don't mind burley,Virgina,Kentucky mixes, maybe try Peterson University flake. It has a nicotine kick, and isn't too bad, although it taste akin to Prince Albert, but better in a way. Navy flake by MacBarren is good, but don't let it dry, cause it sucks when its really dry. also, use it in a bigger bowled pipe, small just doesn't work for it. Ashton, the consummate gentlemen, is a good english. It taste like My Mixture 965 but isn't as strong as that tends to be. Dark twist, by Macbarren is ok, could be worth a look into. Mclintock Black cherry smells pretty good. It's a high aromatic, but I don't know how good it is cause I yet to find a balance I like when smoking it, plus I am not a fan of aromatics. If you can find small sample packs of this, on the cheap, I would before investing in a tin. Christmas cheer 07 is pretty good. This is just a bit of what is in my small collection, I am still trying to find tobacco I like as well.

Re: Need a Tobac Recommendation!
I've had Frog morton (regular) and on the town, both are great. Haven't had Stonehaven, so not sure what it's like, but give the other 2 frogs a try. Maybe pick up some Penzance also.

http://www.4noggins.com/ .... They ship about everywhere. They just have a few samplers listed. You could give them a call and see if they have, or can make you a sampler you like. |

If you want to go on a Latakia binge, try some Paul Olsen A's My Own Blend No. 7000...if you can find some. If you can't, hit me with a PM, I might be able to help you out.
