Stupid n00b question - Ashton tins

Ok, I feel dumb. How do you properly open round style tins that Ashton uses? Looking to try my first puff this evening with some Winding Road in a cob.

I always use a pocketknife to push gently under the lid to break the vaccuum seal and then twist the lid off. It seems like none of my Ashton tins, like Dunhill's, seal back very well after opening.

Ok, that's what I thought. I just didn't want to damage the tin unknowingly. Thanks.

If it's what I'm thinking it is, i use a small straight screwdriver and let the air in, and it'll twist right open afterwards.
