This pipe was made on monday and i just finished waxing and staining it this evening. Once again it doesnt really have a specific shape, the bowl is sort of an acorn shape shape but also its like a rounded dublin. and the shank is very lovat like with the saddle bit and round profile however it does have just the slightest o curves to it.. The top of the bowl is natural plateau and the rest of the bowl is rusticated in my coal finish, however i havnt gone for the complete black this time, although its hard to see in the pics the colour is actually a charcoal grey with dark brown highlights showing through the rustication, so not as harsh as the complete black. Oh and the stem ring on this pipe is slightly different to the chubby pot, that was almost pur white faux bone, this is a cremier faux ivory that has some "grain" to it, i only bought a sample to what it was like, its a bit more diffucult to work than some of the other stuff Paul has let me have, it can shatter when on the lathe, however it looks great and is worth the effort in my opinion.
Dimensions are as follows:
Length 130mm
Height of bowl 45mm approx (plateau top is difficult to measure)
Chamber dia 19mm (3/4")
Chamber depth 36mm (again approx due to plateau)
