From GWN
Hey guys
A month, or two ago, GWN sent me a sampler with a few bowls of tobacco, and a corn cob pipe with which to try them. I tried one of the blends a few weeks back, and enjoyed it a fair bit. I found it to be quite different from cigars, which is good, and I noticed that it didn't give off as much smoke, but that may be due to inexperience I suppose. Anyhow, here's a picture and list of what he sent me. Please bump his RG for helping out a big newb! Dunhill London Partagas Picardura Granulada Cornell & Diehl #967 Exclusive Brigham Muskoka Mixture Plus one corn cob pipe + a few pipe cleaners, which are scattered around my room. ![]() Once summer comes, I think I'm going to hit this slope running... ![]() Thanks again GWN. Good luck! In my opinion, it's funner than the stogie slope! It's cheaper too, until you get into buying every nice pipe that comes along that you see. Stay away from ebay!! (I need to take my own advice....)

Re: From GWN
I lit up a nice bowl tonight, as we're having a bit of a cold snap, and I was outside working, so I figured I'd have a smoke. I had a bowl of a house blend from the local tobacconist. It was great; I puffed furiously for around half an hour, and it was the creamiest, smoothest smoke ever...I had to inhale a couple times just to see what it was like, and it was smoother than any cigarette I've ever tasted.I'm coming way to close to the edge for comfort... ![]()

Welcome to the world of pipe smoking. Having grown up trying tobacco every way imaginable this is by far my favorite. There's a wide variety of product to sample, for not a lot of coin you can build a wide portfolio of favorites, and if you don't inhale I'm convinced it's the safest way to enjoy tobacco. (But that's kind of like saying this is the safest way to handle rattle snakes........) ![]()
