Your Top 5 VaPers

I've only tried 2 VA/Per's so far:
GL Pease's Fillmore
SG's St.James Flake

I find the Fillmore more creamy and a marginally tastier smoke than the St.James, but its close.

There are only a couple of VaPers that I smoke. I like them all equally, but if I had to put them in order from my most favorite it would be:

1) Rich's Craven's Wing (1/3 real St. James perique) and Ashton Black Parrot (These two are tied, I really can't pick a favorite)
2)Escudo.

I like blends with a LOT of perique (as in, I want it to kick my teeth in), even though a couple of these are on the lighter side.

I smoked some Escudo after a long absence trying other blends and it is easily my #1. Though, I do love Scotish Cake.

Escudo, Lux Navy, Dunhill Roll, Bullseye, 2015

2015 could well be a solid favorite if I could ever get it to burn well. I have rubbed, dried, folded, not dried, diced, etc.. this tobacco fights me.

I like the flavor and don't mind 'that smell', but it just doesn't perform.

Price-wise, the PS bulk flakes are such a solid value... Bullseye is quick becoming my go to.

I went to my local B & M and escudo was $19.00 (!) per tin. I bought scottish cake instead for $9.00, and $2.00 worth of straight perique on the side. Haven't tried it yet (the perique).
