Company, villainous company, hath been the spoil of me.

Congratulations, you lot. You've piqued my interest in pipes, much to the consternation of my spouse. As a result, I am now the proud owner of a Missouri Meershaum cob, (a truely remarkable piece of construction. Cheap and efficient.), one nice briar from the seconds display, a tin of Mac Baren Vanilla Cream and a 4 oz bag of Georgetown Tobacco's Councilman , after asking for a mild, non-aromatic.

So in exchange for your... influence... a few interesting articles on pipes and smoking. I'll hopefully have more to contribute once I can get through a bowl using less than 1 box of matches.... or figure out how to get those Ebay estate pipes past HRH.

Tobacco is a dirty weed. I like it.
It satisfies a normal need. I like it.
It makes you thin, it makes you lean,
It takes the hair right off your bean.
It's the worst darn stuff I've ever seen.
I like it.

Cheers!

Congrats Scott. They got me too. I am in the midst of procurement. This'll be interesting to say the least.

Nooner, ya' might have yourself a deal!

I outta get around to some pics. Both pipes are mildly impressive, IMHO, (newb wunderlust), and I really like how the MM is working out. Brother, for $4, I ain't complainin' one iota!

if i may make a suggestion, smoke the macbarens very slowly. the virginias they produce burn very hot if smoked too quickly and will give you tongue bite.

Have to agree with the title, what a joyful bunch of villain's though. Just got into the pipe thing from cigars. And just like you Scott, I'm glad I've got a lighter or i'd have burnt a whole tree keeping the first couple of bowls alight.
