Ribbon cut vapers?

Hey folks,

I'm just wondering how many ribbon cut vapers are out there. I'd like to find a ribbon cut that I will use to make roll-up cigarettes, using a little cigarette rolling device I just bought. I've found that Hal O' The Wynd burns really well when I make these types of cigarettes, but I would prefer to smoke a vaper.

I noticed 4noggins has a blend called "Prairie Wind", which I have not tried yet, but it is probably a ribbon-cut (maybe...not sure). And I think AJ's Vaper might be another one, but again, not sure.

Anyhow, I realise that pipe tobacco is typically not used for rolling cigs, but HOTW turns out really well, when I use this little machine, so if ya'll can mention a few ribbon-cut vaper names for me, then, that would be great.

Thanks.

Only one I have ran across is Esoterica Dorchester, but I'm sure there are more out there. That's just the one that popped into my head.

Captain Earle's Holiday blend 2000 Hermit.....if this is anything like the '07 version I would not get it, it has a topping and is definitely not a straight va/per.....also the '00 version is probably quite hard to find.

GLP Stratford and Telegraph Hill are quite good in my opinion.

Re: Ribbon cut vapers?

Thanks for the info everybody.

I'm thinking I will first get some AJ's Vaper on my next order, as I've been enjoying Anniversary Kake, made by the same folk.

Just for the record, for those interested...I've been getting a good burn from HOTW, Royal Yacht, Nightcap, MacB Plumcake, Prince Albert.

I got some not so good burns from Anniversary Kake, Marlin Flake. and Scottish Cake (sort of what I expected).

I've also been using a 3 inch cigarette holder to smoke these things, which is kind of classy (i guess) --- maybe those cigarette holders will come back into style someday. Having smoked a bit of Drum about a year ago, without a cigarette holder, I've noticed the difference, in that my fingers don't get so brown/yellow.

Also...these pipe tobacco cigs have been a lot easier on the tongue. I usually never go past 5 bowls a day, cuz I don't like the way my tongue feels in the morning, but I've noticed these pipe tobacco cigs do much less damage then when just smoking pipes, all day.

Anyhow, I think I'm going to stick with this routine for a while and see how it goes.

Seconding the Peretti Park Square. Beautiful loose ribbon cut, fairly mild, but not bland, with a nice consistent sweetness to it in my experience.

Re: Ribbon cut vapers?

I would recommend AJ's VaPer if you are already ordering from pipesandcigars.com. If not give Peretti's Park Square a whirl. It's a looser cut and might be easier to roll.

Did you dry out the scottish cake really well? That stuff can be a little damp right out of the tin.
