I think today is a tobacco shopping day

but I am not sure of what I want to pick up. Too many options.

I can dive into the world of C&D, replenish my now exhausted supply of Dark Twist, or give the Peterson Tobaccos a try again. Not sure what else I will find at the B&M down the street.....or maybe I should stock up on Bob's Chocolate Flake tins for the coming fall weather?

Mostly at a little shop down the street. I have ventured over the mountain to Winchester and bought some goodies. But I like to walk to the store.

I may be biking on the WO&D and the C&O in September. We'll probably end up in Leesburg (and Harpers Ferry and Antietam) one day so it's nice to know there's a B&M to cruise.

The shop in Leesburg is small, and the selection can be hit or miss, but it is less than a block from the W&OD path. Situated along with it are a few nice restaurants, including a brick oven style pizza joint, a 3-4 star place, a German Doener stand, and some others.

Re: I think today is a tobacco shopping day

Just bought a tin of Petersons Sherlock Holmes... its interesting. Sweet on top of a sorta English flavor. Not bad, but I probably wont buy a second tin. Ive sampled a few different Peterson blends, and I have a hard time getting into them as well.

Have you tried Irish Flake? It's Peterson's best, imo, and just the kind of pipe tobacco I had been searching for just starting my pipe adventures.

From Peterson's I would also recommend Irish Whiskey if you like more unaromatic tobaccos. University flake and Sunset Breeze are also some good tobaccos from Peterson's if you are looking for something a bit more aromatic.

Re: I think today is a tobacco shopping day

I had enjoyed the Irish Oak I bought last fall, but it became kind of bland and one dimensional in short order....just like the Davidoff Oriental Mixture I tried. They became so similar that I just dumped them both into a jar together.

You're able to walk to the tobacco shop - consider me jealous.
